Random Error Estimation and Propagation Analysis for Satellites’ Initial Positions

An increasing number of satellites are currently being launched into orbit to work in the form clusters or constellations. However, initial position is accompanied by random errors, which will propagate during their running. Therefore, precision directly affects space safety, network accuracy, and operating efficiency. Hence, accurate fast error estimation essential improve satellite control. The traditional method take much time cost, it associated with complex calculations low especially for large-scale In this paper, a evaluation model based on ellipsoid proposed. It can be used estimate positions propagation any satellites. By comparing experiment results using Monte Carlo method, proved that proposed relatively simple, highly effective, good at accuracy.
